Discuss them in light of Shandler’s perception of postvernacular “Yddish” culture (Adventures in Yiddishland: Postvernacular Language and Culture) and Dovid Katz’s vision (conception) of a long-duration Ashkenazi cultural (and linguistic) creativity as it is being espoused in his book Words on Fire: The Unfinished Story of Yiddish.
