Technology plays an important role in bringing the employers and job seekers on one platform and the ways of recruitment have been modified according to the emerging technology from time to time. Today, many big enterprises make use of softwares for the formulation of job description, job advertisement, response management, short-listing, selection of analytical method, arrangement and conduction of interviews, and the final selection. Thus, the reliance upon technology or recruitment agencies to assess the skills and competences of candidates has made it easy for the managers to select the finest candidates from the pool of applicants. Selection of right individuals for the right positions is indeed, the first step of workforce management. Management of existing workforce, may however, be adversely affected by the recruitment of new employees. Workforce management is a skill and art that requires much more than a manager’s conscious efforts to satisfy the workforce and improve its morale.
