What three things motivated you to start college?
Here is the checklist that you need to use to be sure you are putting your paper in MLA style. This is really the same for APA style, too, if you are choosing to use that format.
MARGARET SHAW (INSTRUCTOR)
A Title for the paper and this is centered above the paper: My School Endeavors (or whatever your title is)
In-text citations at the end of any sentence that contains factual information from a source like this: (Browning 2014) This is the last name of the author and the date of publication.
A Works Cited area with a full listing of that source. The citation generator tool in the RESEARCH/WRITING TAB will create these for you! The Works Cited area always goes on a separate page at the very bottom of your paper. The listings are in alphabetical order by last name of author.
You can find all information (with examples) on this website: THE OWL AT PURDUE/MLA Every type of rule on MLA format is there.
Here is an example of a FULL LISTING for a Works Cited area. I found this on THE OWL AT PURDUE website:
Junge, Wolfgang, and Nathan Nelson. “Nature’s Rotary Electromotors.” Science 29 Apr. 2005: 642-44. Science Online. Web. 5 Mar. 2009.
Notice that this begins with the last names of the authors. If you fill in the form in the CITATION GENERATOR in the RESEARCH/WRITING TAB, it will create the correct full listing for you! It is really simple to use. Please give it a try.
